Your Will Writing Service Made Easy

It is important to get your affairs in order to protect the ones you care about.

At Your Life Made Easy we believe that writing your Will is one of the most important things you can do.  We think that speaking to one of our expert advisors rather than simply completing an online questionnaire ensures that you get the right Will for you.

All our Wills are signed off by our consultant solicitor and we offer two cost-effective solutions to choose from.

There are many good reasons to write a Will:

  • A Will makes it easier and straight forward for your loved ones to deal with everything when you die.
  • Writing a Will can help reduce the inheritance tax your estate may have to pay on the value of any property or money you leave to your beneficiaries.
  • Writing a Will is very important if you have dependants who rely on you for financial support or if you want to leave specific items to certain beneficiaries.
A Will also let people know:
  • Who you want to inherit your money and possessions when you die.
  • Who you want to be the executor of your estate responsible for following the instructions in your Will.
  • What your wishes are regarding your burial or cremation.
What could happen if I do not leave a Will?
  • If you do not leave a Will everything will be shared out equally as defined by law and this may not be the way you want it to be distributed.
  • If you’re not married and not in a civil partnership, your partner is not legally entitled to anything when you die.
  • If you’re married, your husband or wife might inherit most, or all of your estate and your children might not get anything (except in Scotland). This is true even if you are separated but not if you’re divorced.
  • If you have children or grandchildren, how much they are legally entitled to will depend on where you live in the UK – but if you make a will you can decide this yourself.
  • Any Inheritance Tax that your estate has to pay might be higher than it would be if you had made a will.
  • If you die with no living close relatives, your whole estate will belong to the Crown or to the government. This law is called bona vacantia.
